Quark Forge privacy policy

Quark Forge (“the game”) is a puzzle game published by Spareleg, a trading name of Varlis (“we”). This policy explains what data the game handles and why. We don’t ask you to create an account, and we don’t collect your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location.

Data stored on your device

Your game progress (unlocked levels, stars, scores, boosters, settings and Daily Challenge streak) is stored only on your device. It never leaves your device. It is removed if you uninstall the game or clear its data.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The game shows ads using Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, AdMob may collect and process:

your device’s advertising ID and other device identifiers,
approximate location derived from your IP address,
app interactions such as ad views and taps, and diagnostics (for example crash and performance information about ads).

Where required by law (for example in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, and some US states), the game asks for your consent before personalised ads are shown, using Google’s User Messaging Platform. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy & ad choices in the game. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android device settings.

Google’s use of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy, policies.google.com/privacy, and by how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Game analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

To see which levels are too hard or too easy, the game uses Google Analytics for Firebase. It records:

game events: levels started, won or lost, stars, number of drops, score, and whether a continue was used,
an app-instance identifier and, where allowed, your device’s advertising ID,
basic device and app information (device model, Android version, app version, language) and approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address.

It doesn’t record your name, email address or precise location, and we only look at it as aggregated statistics. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland analytics runs only if you agree to it in the consent form, and you can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy & ad choices.

In-app purchases (Google Play)

The optional “Remove Ads” purchase is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see your payment details. The game only checks with Google Play whether the purchase is owned, so it can turn ads off.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13 and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them.

Data sharing and sale

We don’t sell your personal information. Apart from the Google services described above (AdMob, Google Analytics for Firebase and Google Play), no data is shared with third parties.

Security and retention

Data sent to Google is transmitted over encrypted connections and retained according to Google’s policies. Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to how it is used. Because the game keeps your progress only on your device and we hold no account data, most requests are best handled through the in-game privacy choices, your device’s ad settings, or Google directly. We may update this policy as the game changes. The “last updated” date above always shows the current version.
